Johnston Newfield for J'vlyn d'Ark: a trans-femme southern-belle video and installation artist from Georgia, USA. Through their artistic practice they analyze and exploit themes of trans experience, Southern US heritage, fanatic religious language and temperaments, and their own personal reckoning with ambivalent desires for truth and identity. They are also co-founder of the Montreal-based design collective Sound + Fury; ministers of design through visual truth - through which they deliver their flow of trans cultural production.
