Biography :: Sophie Le-Phat Ho

Sophie Le-Phat Ho

Sophie Le-Phat Ho is a researcher and cultural organiser from Montreal. The current Coordinator of the DOCAM Research Alliance (Documentation and Conservation of the Media Arts Heritage) at the Daniel Langlois Foundation for Art, Science, and Technology, she completed her studies in the Environment and Social Studies of Medicine at McGill University, and earned an MA in Anthropology of Health and the Body in the 21st Century at Goldsmiths College (University of London) in the UK. She has been interim Programming Coordinator for Studio XX and Editor-in-Chief of the periodical .dpi. In addition, she has worked as a Project Officer for terminus1525.ca at the Canada Council for the Arts. She was also a co-curator of UpgradeMTL, a forum on politics, culture and technology, as part of the Upgrade! International network. As the co-founder of Artivistic, she works at the intersection of art, science and activism.
